Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask before renting their first SMS verify number.

What is an SMS verify number?

A temporary phone number that receives the verification text an app sends at sign-up. You enter it instead of your own and read the code in your browser.

Is the number private?

Yes. A number is reserved for your order only and is not shared with other customers while it is yours. It is released after use.

What if the code does not arrive?

Cancel the number or let it expire and the credits return to your balance automatically. You can then try another country.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser. There is no SIM, eSIM or app to install.

How do I pay?

By card, in US dollars. You top up credits and spend them per number. There is no subscription and no crypto required.

Can I reuse a number later?

No. Numbers are single-use. For accounts you plan to keep, add a number you control in the app’s settings for recovery and two-factor codes.

Why not use a free SMS website?

Free numbers are public and shared by thousands of people, so they are usually already used on popular apps and the code rarely arrives. They also offer no refund.

Do all apps accept temporary numbers?

Most do, but some apps block virtual numbers or skip the SMS. We show the live success rate per country so you can choose the option that works best today.

Can I use the number for calls?

No. It is for receiving verification SMS, not for calls or long-term messaging.
